Jardin de Mexico

This was taken in Monterey, California, during one of my visits. While wandering around the wharf, my brother and I happened upon a beautiful, mysterious garden. I used to live in Monterey, but I never saw this before. It was quite surreal. I found this entrance to the garden, and took this shot while resting the camera on the ground, looking up at the passageway.

The title reflects its appearance, like a setting in Mexico (jardín is garden in Spanish - not much of a stretch; Monterey has a history of Mexican influence).

Lastly, I Photoshopped it to give it the atmosphere of a period photograph. This is one of my personal favs, but I'm not too sure about its composition... Give me your input!
